Zaneta Mascarenhas

Member for Swan

My name is Zaneta Mascarenhas – like Anita but with a 'Z'.

I’m an engineer, a mum, and live locally in Swan with my husband and our children, Lincoln and Felicity.

I love my community and am deeply committed to it. Born in Kalgoorlie and raised in Kambalda, I grew up in a hardworking family – Dad was a metalworker, Mum a kindy cleaner, and my first job was on the checkout at Woolies.

I started my career in steel cap boots on the mines. I worked across WA and Victoria for over 15 years, often as one of few women on site. As the Federal MP for Swan, my goal is to build a fairer, stronger, greener, and kinder Australia and make a real difference in our diverse community.

I believe in listening to locals, championing their voices, and delivering real outcomes.

Whether it’s better healthcare, improved infrastructure, or better wages for essential workers, I’m committed to working towards lasting change.
