Tim has a Masters of Science from the London School of Economics, a Masters of Public Policy and Management from Monash University and a Bachelor of Laws from Bond.
In the past Tim has worked as a telecommunications lawyer and as an adviser in Labor State and Federal governments.
Tim joined the Labor party because he believes in key Labor values that matter to working people: jobs, strong economic growth, and investment in education and health.
During his time in Federal Parliament, Tim has worked hard to contribute to the national policy landscape. In 2015, he released “Two Futures, Australia at a Critical Moment” with co-author Clare O’Neil MP, which outlined potential policy responses to national shortfalls over the next few decades. He also introduced a Private Members’ Bill on Revenge Porn, and co-founded the ‘Parliamentarians Against Family Violence’ bipartisan group.
Tim is married to a small business owner and has two children in a multicultural Australian family, and is a keen follower of AFL, cricket and rugby league.
