Jo has dedicated her life to helping people. She has a proven track record of advocating to make life better for working families, like creating greater access to affordable, high-quality early learning and care. 

Jo has previously served as the CEO of The Parenthood, the peak advocacy body for Australian parents, fighting for families in our community and across the nation.

As a qualified psychologist, Jo recognises the importance of access to quality healthcare and the services that help support and promote a sense of certainty and well-being.

Jo knows that the increasing cost of living is having a real impact on many local families and households. Jo is working hard for this community and doing what she can to help.  She is determined to see a fairer and stronger future and will fight to make housing, healthcare, and education more affordable and accessible for our community.

Jo is also the proud mum to two young girls, Gweny and Margot. Together with her husband Ravi, they are all loving the life they are building together in their special part of Melbourne, known for its strong sense of community, diversity and inclusivity.
