Anika Wells

Member for Lilley

Anika Wells, Labor's Member for Lilley, is a working mother and lawyer living in Chermside with her husband, young daughter and rescue kelpie, Don.

Anika is actively involved in our local community through her work with the Nundah Community Legal Service and with Chermside parkrun, which she founded in 2015 at 7th Brigade Park.

As a local working mother she knows firsthand the impact of the Liberals’ bungled roll-out of the NBN in her area, sees the impact of the cuts to The Prince Charles Hospital and local health services and is frustrated by the Coalition Governments’ inability to deliver a childcare policy that actually makes things easier for Northside families.

Anika will be a fresh champion for Lilley and will work tirelessly to ensure local families get ahead – equipped with a better job security, a tax system that makes multinationals pay their fair share, and the much needed rail and road infrastructure that the Northside is crying out for.
