Sparks Reserve West Synthetic Soccer Field Upgrade

GABRIEL NG

LABOR CANDIDATE FOR MENZIES

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will put $3.9 million towards an upgrade of the Sparks Reserve West soccer field.

Over 2000 soccer players use Sparks Reserve West each year, but its availability is always subject to turf conditions.

This election commitment would go towards upgrading the fields to a synthetic surface that could be used seven days a week and provide a better surface to support higher levels of football activity.

It would also allow for greater use of the fields by schools and the wider community and help the site keep up with current and future demand.

This commitment would be delivered in partnership with Box Hill United and the City of Whitehorse, who are also investing in this project.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
