Labor kicking goals with Samford Rangers

ALI FRANCE

LABOR CANDIDATE FOR DICKSON

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will contribute $547,000 for a significant upgrade for Samford Rangers Football Club (FC) to support its growing women’s football program.

Delivered through strong advocacy from Labor Candidate for Dickson Ali France, this election commitment will go towards building new women’s changerooms at the club’s home in Samford.

Samford Rangers have a fast-growing women and girl’s program, with now over 250 players at the Rangers, and this election commitment will enable them to create a safe and positive environment for all players.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Labor Candidate for Dickson, Ali France:

“Samford Rangers are a pillar of our local community and I’m really proud to be able to commit to this upgrade for them.

“Community sport is so important, and this funding will go a long way to delivering new well-deserved facilities especially for the girls and women at the Rangers.

“These upgrades will make sure players have safe, welcoming facilities as the women’s football program expands.

“Who knows – maybe we’ll be watching future Matildas!”
