Labor Senator for Queensland, Nita Green, today announced a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest $3 million to deliver additional CCTVs around Moreton Bay and Cairns Region.  

This election commitment will strengthen community safety by providing $1.5 million each for the City of Moreton Bay and Cairns Regional Councils, ensuring residents feel safer and more supported. 

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will work with the councils to determine the most appropriate locations for the new CCTV cameras. 

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
