David Smith is the Federal Member for the seat of Bean, proudly representing the southern part of the Australian Capital Territory and Norfolk Island.

David has served in the Federal Parliament since May 2018 and is committed to continuing to represent the people of Bean.

In the Parliament David serves on the Parliamentary Committee on Public Works as well as being a Government Whip.

David is a lifelong local who lives in Bean with his family. David works hard for the community and is passionate about government services, our environment and likes walking the many hills of Canberra.

David is a firm believer in the value of community and public service and wants to ensure greater fairness in education, keep strengthening Medicare and maintain our workplace rights for all across Bean. He knows that we need to keep rebuilding trust and integrity in government.
