Ali France is a Moreton Bay local, living in Arana Hills with her son. She has worked as a journalist and communications manager and is a world champion para-athlete.
As a working single mum, Ali understands how hard it can be to juggle the pressures of rising bills. She knows that the Albanese Government’s tax cut for every Australian, electricity rebates, cheaper medicines, fee-free TAFE and expanded paid parental leave will help families across Dickson.
Ali and her family have experienced firsthand the importance of Medicare, the NDIS and disability support. After losing her leg in an accident in 2011, Ali has navigated the NDIS and has been a strong advocate for people with a disability. Ali also tragically lost her son Henry to leukaemia in early 2024, and she spent 18 months by his side. Like many Australians, Ali and her family have relied heavily on Medicare and know investment in healthcare, cheaper medicines and ensuring access to GPs and specialists is incredibly important.
Ali will be an important voice for the Moreton Bay region in the Albanese Labor Government, with a real focus on the day to day needs of working people.
