Maurice Billi, Labor’s candidate for Wannon has lived and worked in the area for over 20 years. He has worked in the health and education sector supporting and advocating for vulnerable young people and families including those vulnerable to disengagement, with mental health concerns, at risk of homelessness, people impacted by family violence and young people in out of home care.
He has previous experience as a Youth Worker as well as spending over 10 years in the media working in radio, television and news reporting.
He has also been a Foster Carer and Is committed to supporting and advocating for kids in out of home care.
Maurice has been a keen observer of politics for many years and feels humbled and privileged for the opportunity of representing Labor and Wannon at the next federal election.
