As a Labor candidate for the Senate at the next Federal Election, Larissa Harrison is passionate about representing South Australians.
Working as a lawyer in Adelaide, Larissa has spent most of her professional life representing victims of wage theft and workers who have been injured, discriminated against or unfairly dismissed. Larissa is eager to ensure that our workplace laws provide not only a safety net for employees but that they ensure fairness to all Australians. She firmly believes that every person should be afforded the same rights, protections and opportunities - no matter what their gender, background, income or level of education is.
Larissa was born in South Australia and grew up in the seat of Boothby, where she continues to live. She is passionate about the need to properly fund our education and health systems, and the need to have an adequate safety net to catch people when they are not able to support themselves
Larissa has a Masters in Law (Legal Practice) from Australian National University, a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide and is a former President of the South Australian Labor Party. She has served as a member of the State Executive of the South Australian Labor Party, as well as being a National and State Conference Delegate.
