Josh Spiegel, Labor’s candidate for Higgins, was educated at both public and private schools including at Mt Scopus College, Wesley College and Box Hill Senior Secondary College where he completed his VCE and finished top of his class in a pre-apprenticeship in plumbing.
Coming from an academic household, Josh is a passionate advocate for higher education. He was involved in student life at RMIT where he studied from 2011 to 2013 and was a member of the student representative council at Box Hill Institute of TAFE when enrolled there in 2010.
Josh has worked in sales and logistics management for several small, medium and large-scale businesses where, amongst other things, he focused on growing those businesses and developing their systems and processes.
Away from work Josh has a variety of interests including rowing with the Argonauts, Melbourne’s only LGBTI rowing club. He enjoys cooking, the outdoors and travelling when he can.
Josh has a firm belief that Government can and should make a positive difference in people’s lives and has the responsibility to create the right settings for individuals and businesses to thrive in a fair and equal playing field.
Josh has the experience, dedication and energy to be a strong voice for the people of Higgins.
